A change in direction.

Since my last post, my husband and I have made the decision to apply for an apartment in an Assistive Living Facility.  This means moving from a three bedroom, with basement, house to a small 1-2 bedroom apartment with a meal program.  My studio takes up 3/4 of our finished basement.  My kitchen had 9 cupboards, along with 6 drawers, all full of junk.  But the main problem will be the studio. OMG!  Last year, March 16th, I started a 30 day purge of the studio that lasted a full year, almost to the day.  I got rid of a lot, but nothing compared to what faces me now.  So what did I do, you ask?  Well I sat down and started three more donation quilts.  I've been wanting to try the " Twosie-Foursie" method of getting rid of scraps and I had three deep drawers full of scraps.  After 4 days of hard work, I have the basics of those three donation quilts, including  three 91/2" quilt squares, and one 16" square to be used in the center of one of those quilts.  Most of my time was spent with the "Twosie-foursie" piecing.  What a total waste of time!  I will never do that again.

So, at this point, I have nothing to show you, despite working very hard for 7 days in a row.  But, saying that, I guess I also need to mention all of the empty boxes and shelves in the studio storeroom.  there has been some progress.
