Time for a temper tantrum
You know, when your work reaches the stage when you want to throw it on the floor and stomp on it? The stage when nothing is working the way you want it to? I don't mean that moment when the piece speaks to you, and suggests an alternative, but when you become convinced that nothing is working and you doubt it will ever be finished according to your vision.
The Neurographic piece is at that stage. The lines have turned into thread painting, and I have visions of doing the thread painting every day for the next year. As well, some of the drawn lines don't have the smooth flow that I've seen in other Neurographic pieces. But then neurogaphic art is supposed to be composed of lines that your sub-conscious chooses, so maybe that is what is happening here.
So I will carry on for a bit yet. The InkTense has not been activated, and maybe I should do a little of that to see what the final colour will be, or if I need to darken it a bit. It's been awhile since I did any thread painting, and the practice is certainly needed. And I've finally found a use for the two spools of brown thread I ordered by mistake. They are working very nicely in the bobbins.
