The purge is slowing down.

The less-than-nice quilt discussed in the last post came out of the wash in much better shape than it went in. It has now been labelled and folded up for the "donation" pile.  Dealing with it has lead me to re-consider the other two quilts I've been cherishing.  While I love them, they aren't a size for either of our beds, they are taking up storage space, and neither has any redeeming factor other than the time I spent making it.  I believe these other two will end up being donated as well.

In sorting through my hand-dyed fabric over the past couple of days, I came across several pieces large enough for a donation-size quilt.  Two in particular would make very pretty quilts, and I plan to do just that.  I even have an idea of how I could make them slightly pieced and not needing to be treated as a whole cloth quilt. The cutting I've been doing over the past couple of weeks is just about done--for now--so maybe it's time to be looking at another batch of donation quilts.  That still counts as part of purging, in my book, anyway.
